Literature Text
The girl who lost her one and only love.
The boy who never saw his boyfriend again.
The people who lost all reason to live
just for being who they are.
This day is meant to recognize
People who took their lives
All because of bullying.
Because they, for a time, weren't afraid to be who they were.
Who fueled their actions?
Some, the parents who couldn't accept their child's decision.
Some, the kids at school who didn't want someone so different.
Some, their coworkers, or even their boss, who decided if you didn't fit in, you were worthless.
All in all, they were bullies nonetheless.
Wear purple in memory of those lives.
The lives lived in fear or sadness.
And always remember the girl and the boy,
and why they did what they did.

Being Gay Is A Choice
I chose this way of life.
I chose to be ostracized by the general public.
I chose to live in a way,
My parents want to kill me for,
And my family wants to disown me.
I chose this way,
Where no matter how good I am,
How caring or faithful,
My place of worship,
Says I'll rot in hell.
I chose to put up with,
All of the heckling,
Fag, Homo, Queer.
Yup, I chose that all.
I chose a way,
Where in most places,
I can't marry someone,
I love with all my heart.
I chose to live my life,
So that if I want to bring in a child,
The world will scorn me,
And deny me a family of my own.
I chose to be treated as sub-human,
By the majori

Homophobes Burn Too
In a land where all men are created equal,
Why am I besmirched?
Why am I a stigma?
Can't you see the hurt?
If all men are created equal,
Why am I hated?
Why can't I live in peace?
Without fear of being beaten,
Simply because I'm me.
Why can't I marry who I want?
Love knows not a gender.
I'm a threat to all your families?
Shut those lies you render.
If all men are created equal,
Why am I dishonored?
Ridiculed, scorned.
It stops now.
There's nothing "glamorous" about it,
So stow your little stigma.
Why complain of a media's bulge,
When you just bring us down.
Don't you say there's a cure,
It's who we are, darling.
It's

October 20th, 2010— Spirit Day. A day dedicated to the number of teenagers who took their own lives as a result of bullying. This was my little thing for it, because the only purple thing I have is a pair of panties (And honestly, who wants to see that?).
Also, this supports gays, bis, and lesbians. Don't like, don't look.
